Vónin Aquaculture (Faroe Islands), Mørenot Aquaculture, and Fiizk Protection (Norway) have merged under the new name ELDI, bringing three Hampidjan Group companies together into a single global aquaculture business.
The move creates a unified organisation with a broader product range, a shared service network, and a stronger foundation for innovation, the companies said on Monday.
Thomas Myrvold, previously CEO of Mørenot Aquaculture, has been appointed CEO of ELDI. He said the aim is to build a global partner with strong local roots.
One brand, one global platform
All three companies are wholly owned by the Icelandic group Hampidjan. By merging them under one name, the group seeks to strengthen its position in a consolidating aquaculture market. The new structure combines equipment, protection systems and aquaculture technology in one organisation.
“Our vision is to become the global provider of end-to-end aquaculture innovation,” Myrvold said. “This means combining world-class technology, smart products and strong service capabilities with the local presence our customers rely on.”
Focus on service and innovation
ELDI will offer a fully integrated product line, supported by what the company describes as the world’s largest network of service stations. Customers will continue to work with local teams who know regional conditions and operations.
The merged group will also increase research and development, with a focus on automation, more innovative farming systems and digital tools to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Built for a changing industry
The aquaculture sector is growing fast and faces rising demands for efficiency and resilience. Hampidjan says ELDI is designed to meet these needs by pooling experience, technology, and scale under one brand while maintaining close ties to customers and local communities.
